Prayer Guide

A simple guide to what you can pray for each day.

Monday

  • Praise God and give thanks for…
  • Confess your sins and ask for God’s forgiveness.
  • Pray that God will stir your heart as you read from the Bible today.
  • Our World: Pray for peace in the world between nations at war.
  • Our Church: That we will be continue to be committed as followers of Jesus and encourage each other in our faith.

Tuesday

  • Praise God and give thanks for…
  • Confess your sins and ask for God’s forgiveness.
  • Pray for what has challenged you from the Bible today.
  • Our World: That our government leaders will make wise decisions in all they do.
  • Our Church: Pray for our church leaders – ministry and staff – as they seek to serve and build us as servants in the Lord.

Wednesday

  • Praise God and give thanks for…
  • Confess your sins and ask for God’s forgiveness.
  • Pray for boldness to change your actions as you read from the Bible.
  • Our World: Pray for our friends who are experiencing difficulty that they will know God’s presence and love.
  • Our Church: Pray for our mission partners that they will know God’s blessing on their ministry and their families.

Thursday

  • Praise God and give thanks for…
  • Confess your sins and ask for God’s forgiveness.
  • Pray that God will continue to change you as you read the Bible.
  • Our World: Pray for the sick and underprivileged that they will know God’s mercy.
  • Our Church: Pray for our Scripture teachers, bible study group leaders, Youth and children group leaders. Give thanks for their ministry and those who now follow Jesus.

Friday

  • Praise God and give thanks for…
  • Confess your sins and ask for God’s forgiveness.
  • Pray that you will actively respond to what you have read in the Bible today.
  • Our World: For those that preach the gospel throughout the world that they will be effective and encouraged in their work.
  • Our Church: Pray for all believers working in Emergency Services – that during times of trauma, they might be able to show support and concern for those suffering terrible circumstances.

Saturday

  • Praise God and give thanks for…
  • Confess your sins and ask for God’s forgiveness.
  • Pray that you will seek God’s guidance from reading the Bible.
  • Our World: That the wealthy will be generous in giving to the needs of those suffering in poverty or from disaster.
  • Our Church: Pray for all aspects of tomorrow’s church services, that the teaching, worship and prayer time will encourage all members of all stages and ages.

Sunday

  • Praise God and give thanks for…
  • Confess your sins and ask for God’s forgiveness.
  • Pray for opportunities to learn from reading the Bible.
  • Our World: That the saving grace of Jesus will be known by many today.
  • Our Church: Pray that today’s Bible message will remind us of those things we need to give over to God and see us change to be more like Him.
